The students at Talbon County Public Schools are some of the best in the world because they all have degrees from top universities such as Harvard and Yale. They also have excellent training programs for new students so that every child can receive an outstanding education from start to finish. The TCPSS was founded in 1934 by a man named Joseph Talbon. He was born and raised in South America, but moved to the United States when he was around 18 years old. After graduating from college, he returned to his hometown and began teaching at the local high school.

The Talbon County Public Schools are a part of the Talbon County School District. These schools include:

  • Emmanuel Talbon High School (TCHS)
  • Emmanuel Talbon Middle School (EMMS)

The sports teams at TCHS and EMMS are known as the “Blue Tigers” or simply “The Tigers”. The Talbon County High School Blue Tigers are a member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) and compete in Class 4A. The school colors are blue and white.

The school’s mascot is a tiger and the school motto is “Probe, Pursue, Persevere”. The Tigers compete in baseball, basketball (men and women), cheerleading (coed), football (men), golf (men), soccer

(men and women), softball (women), swimming (men and women), tennis (men and women), track & field (men, women) and volleyball (women).
